Jane Shainberg
Circuit Steward
I was born in Porthleven and lived here until I was 8 when my dad became a Methodist minister. We moved to Peterhead, Scotland then Moston in Manchester and finally to Bebington on the Wirral. Once I qualified as an Occupational Therapist I moved back to the area and have been here ever since. Life has not always been easy on our moves and has taught me a lot about different bodies of people within the Methodist Church helping me to grow in my own faith. One thing is for sure that Jesus’ love is the same wherever you are and in whatever you do - a very comforting thought! Jane joined the team as a steward in 2021.

Janet Hearn
Circuit Steward
Janet has only recently joined the Circuit Leadership team as a steward as for many years she and her husband had the huge task of being our Circuit Meeting Secretary’s. Janet is a member of Trinity Methodist Church and is a talented organist and pianist. Janet is a Mother and Grandmother and loves nothing better than spending time with her family.

Vanessa Williams
Circuit Steward
Vanessa is a Steward at Porthleven Methodist Church and also has recently joined the Circuit leadership team as a Circuit Steward. At Porthleven Chapel Vanessa has been involved in the children’s work for many years and has nurtured many young people’s faith and their knowledge of Jesus and his love for them. Vanessa is also a talented flower arranger. Outside of Church Vanessa is a Guide leader and works for the NHS in one of our local hospitals.

Paul Combellack
Circuit Treasurer
Paul is Treasurer of the Circuit, having taken over the role in January 2019. He is a member of Central Methodist Church at Helston, where he is also part of the Finance and Youth teams. Paul has grown up in the Methodist Church and undertaken many roles within it.
Away from Church activities, Paul is a qualified Accountant and a Director of Pullen Davies Solicitors, based at St Agnes. For relaxation, he enjoys being part of various local amateur dramatic societies and watching and playing sport. He is happily married to Mary Louise and has four lovely children, of whom is justifiably proud.
